1. Introduction: Rayelle & Alan’s Wedding at Pittville Pump Rooms
This was a gorgeous spring wedding, with a wedding ceremony at Pittville Pump Rooms, Pittville Park, Cheltenham followed by a chilled afternoon at The Queens Hotel, Cheltenham. An intimate wedding affair, which also saw a private hire of a large observation wheel, located in the Imperial Gardens, based in Montpellier, Cheltenham. This wedding consisted of a lot of editorial type wedding photography and fun on the wheel, followed by a few stunning staircase shots in Cheltenhams regency Queens Hotel.
2. The Ceremony: An Emotional Moment in one of Cheltenham’s Iconic Buildings
If you’re planning to tie the knot in Cheltenham, it doesn’t get much more iconic than the majestic Pump Room in Pittville Park. Built in the 1830s, this stunning Grade I listed Regency building was once the crown jewel of Cheltenham, drawing visitors from far and wide to take in its grandeur and spa heritage.
Rayelle & Alan chose this historic gem for their intimate ceremony – a setting full of charm, elegance, and a touch of old-world magic. Their day was made even more special with the smooth sounds of a live saxophonist, playing softly before the ceremony began and again during the signing of the register.
3. Confetti Run & Group photos
After the ceremony, everyone gathered on the grand steps outside the Pump Room – the perfect spot for confetti and group shots (as you’ll see in the photos below). The sweeping staircase, with the iconic columns behind, gives that timeless backdrop that never fails. Rayelle & Alan made the most of the moment, pausing halfway through the confetti tunnel for a massive kiss – and yes, it was just as good as it sounds!
4. Drinks and Post-wedding Mingling with Guests
The weather was kind to us all day, which meant guests could enjoy their welcome drinks outside, soaking up the beautiful surroundings of Pittville Park. With plenty of space both inside and out, the Pump Room offers the perfect balance – whether guests wanted to mingle in the fresh air or relax indoors, there was room for everyone. It created such an easygoing, spacious atmosphere – the kind that sets the tone for a laid-back and memorable celebration
5. Portrait Photos: The Stunning Pittville Park
Pittville Park and its lakes make a stunning backdrop for wedding portraits – iconic, peaceful, and full of charm. Just take a look at the photos below to see how effortlessly beautiful Rayelle & Alan looked as they wandered through the park, soaking up the atmosphere and embracing the moment. Their portraits are full of elegance and connection – everything you’d hope for from your wedding day captured in a relaxed, natural way.
6. The Queens Hotel, Cheltenham & the observation tower in the Imperial Gardens
After the portrait session, we made our way to The Queens Hotel in the heart of Cheltenham for Rayelle & Alan’s wedding breakfast – but not before stopping for something truly unique. The couple had privately hired an observation tower, which made for some seriously standout shots (a first for me, and what a treat it was!). We wrapped things up with a few timeless portraits on the hotel’s iconic staircase – the kind of frames that wouldn’t look out of place in a glossy magazine.
7. Conclusion: A Perfect Day at Pittville Pump Rooms
Rayelle & Alan’s spring wedding was the perfect mix of elegance, fun, and relaxed celebration. From the grandeur of Pittville Pump Room to the stylish charm of The Queens Hotel – with a show-stopping spin on the observation wheel in between – their day had it all. It was intimate, full of personality, and a dream to photograph, with a beautiful blend of editorial portraits and genuine, joyful moments throughout.
If you’re planning a Cheltenham wedding and want a day that’s both iconic and totally you, this one’s proof it can be done in style.
