Hyde House Weddings
Hyde House, located in the picturesque setting of Stow-on-the-Wold, is a popular choice for couples seeking a romantic and charming wedding venue. The venue boasts several key features that make it a distinctive location for nuptial celebrations. Firstly, the accommodation provided for guests is exceptional, with 20 rooms offering superb views of the surrounding Cotswolds countryside. The venue also incorporates a few highly versatile function rooms, making it ideal for both intimate and larger weddings. The main Ceremony Barn is the crown jewel of Hyde House, where couples can exchange their vows under a stunning arched ceiling adorned with modern chandeliers. Additionally, the venue incorporates a beautiful Grange Barn for receptions, capable of accommodating up to 150 guests. Also noteworthy is the Garden Room, an aesthetically pleasing, glass fronted space that allows for an abundant influx of natural light, making it particularly popular for pre-reception drinks and canapés. Lastly, the expansive manicured gardens complete the picture, providing a stunning backdrop for wedding photography. With its combination of rustic charm and contemporary facilities, Hyde House remains a distinguished choice for prospective wedding couples.
The History of Hyde House
Hyde House, one of the most exquisite wedding venues in Gloucestershire, sits proudly in the picturesque town of Stow-on-the-Wold. The history of the venue dates back more than a century, having been built in 1893 as a spacious family home. Over the decades, the house displayed an elegant aura of rural peace and tranquillity, finding itself nestled within a 5000-acre estate. In 2005, it was sold and beautifully refurbished into a bed and breakfast. In 2011, the property changed hands once again and began its journey as an esteemed wedding venue. The addition of the Grange, a custom-built barn made specifically for the purpose of ceremonies, in 2018 only added more character and charm to the venue. The venue beautifully blends historical elements and contemporary designs, due in part to a seamless restoration of the house – retaining its traditional Cotswold stone exteriors, while injecting a sense of modern, elegant sophistication inside. From a homestead to a B&B and now a prestigious wedding location, the historical evolution of Hyde House introduces both charm and character to its neighbours in Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire. It continues to evolve, timelessly adapting and serving in new capacities while remaining a testament to its rich historical roots.
