The Kingscote Barn Wedding Photography
Are you looking for a photographer to cover your wedding at The Kingscote Barn?
A Kingscote Barn Wedding
Set amongst the rolling Gloucestershire countryside, Kingscote Barn is one of the Cotswolds’ most popular wedding venues, and it’s easy to understand why. Combining the character of a beautifully restored 17th-century stone barn with stunning views across the surrounding hills, it offers a relaxed yet elegant setting for your wedding day.
The venue caters for everything from intimate celebrations to larger weddings, with beautiful ceremony spaces, a spacious reception barn and plenty of room for guests to enjoy the gardens and terrace throughout the day. There’s also stylish on-site accommodation, making it easy for family and friends to stay and enjoy the celebrations without needing to travel.
From a photographer’s point of view, Kingscote Barn has so much to offer. The golden Cotswold stone, open countryside and beautifully maintained grounds provide incredible backdrops at every stage of the day, while the bright, airy interiors photograph beautifully whatever the weather.
It’s a venue that strikes the perfect balance between rustic charm and modern comfort, making it an incredible place to celebrate and an equally brilliant place to create timeless wedding photographs.
The History of The Kingscote Barn
Kingscote Barn is a beautifully restored 17th-century Cotswold stone barn that’s full of character and history. Originally built as part of the Kingscote Estate, it spent centuries serving the surrounding farmland before being carefully transformed into one of Gloucestershire’s most sought-after wedding venues.
Thankfully, the restoration has preserved everything that gives the barn its charm. From the impressive oak beams and exposed Cotswold stone to the peaceful countryside setting, it still feels true to its agricultural roots while offering all the comforts of a modern wedding venue.
Today, Kingscote Barn is known for combining historic character with a relaxed, elegant atmosphere. It’s a venue that feels authentic rather than overdone, and that’s one of the reasons so many couples choose to celebrate their wedding here.
How To Find The Kingscote Barn
Kingscote Barn is set in the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside, just outside Tetbury and surrounded by rolling Cotswold hills. Despite feeling wonderfully rural, it’s easy to reach for guests travelling from across the South West, with both Bristol and Gloucester less than an hour away.
One of the things I love about the venue is how peaceful it feels. Surrounded by open fields and far-reaching views, it offers a real escape from the hustle and bustle, creating a relaxed atmosphere from the moment you arrive.
From a photographer’s point of view, the location is fantastic. Wherever the light falls throughout the day, there’s always a beautiful backdrop nearby, whether that’s the countryside, the gardens or the characterful Cotswold stone buildings. It’s a venue that gives you endless opportunities for natural, timeless wedding photographs.
About Tetbury
Tetbury is a beautiful Cotswold market town full of character, with its historic stone buildings, independent cafés, pubs and shops. It’s a lovely place to explore if you’re making a weekend of your visit or staying nearby for a wedding at Kingscote Barn.
Surrounded by stunning Gloucestershire countryside, Tetbury perfectly captures everything people love about the Cotswolds and is well worth a visit before or after the celebrations.

Pedge Photography – The Kingscote Barn Wedding Photographer
I’m a wedding photographer based in Cheltenham and have had the pleasure of photographing weddings at Kingscote Barn over the years. It’s a venue I always enjoy returning to, thanks to its stunning countryside views, relaxed atmosphere and incredible spaces for photography.
My approach is simple. I want you to enjoy your wedding day, not spend hours posing for the camera. I’ll give you as much direction as you need during your couple portraits, but for the rest of the day I’ll quietly capture the moments that happen naturally.
From the big moments to the little ones you might not even notice at the time, my aim is to tell the story of your wedding in a way that feels genuine, relaxed and timeless. Most importantly, I want you to have an amazing day while I create photographs you’ll still love looking back on years from now.
My Wedding Photography Style
My approach is all about keeping things relaxed. I’ll step in with plenty of direction when it’s needed, especially during your couple portraits and group photos, but the rest of the day is about letting moments unfold naturally.
After photographing hundreds of weddings, very little catches me by surprise. Whether it’s bright sunshine, a dimly lit barn or a last-minute change of plans, I’ll quietly adapt while you focus on enjoying your day.
My editing style is clean, vibrant and true to life, with rich colours, natural skin tones and a timeless finish that won’t date. The goal is simple – to create beautiful photographs that capture not just how your wedding looked, but how it felt.

Why Choose Me as Your Kingscote Barn Wedding Photographer?
With hundreds of weddings behind me, I know how to keep things relaxed while making sure nothing important gets missed. I’ll guide you when you need it, step back when you don’t, and adapt naturally to whatever your wedding day brings.
I don’t believe in treating weddings like they’re all the same. Every couple has their own personalities, favourite people and unique story, so my approach is always tailored to you rather than following a set formula.
Having grown up in the Cotswolds and photographed weddings across the region for years, I know many of the venues inside out. From finding the best light to making the most of each location, that experience helps me create natural, timeless photographs while you simply enjoy your day.
What’s Included?
Every wedding is different, so my photography packages can be tailored to suit your plans.
All collections include a private online gallery where you, your family and friends can easily view, download and share your photographs. The gallery also gives you the option to order professional prints, framed artwork and albums directly from your images.
If you’d like a beautifully designed wedding album, I also offer handcrafted album packages to showcase your favourite photographs. You can also add a pre-wedding shoot in the Cotswolds or a second photographer if you’d like even more coverage of your day.
How long do you stay with us for our The Kingscote Barn wedding?
I’m an all day photographer and will be with you from roughly two hours before your ceremony until at least the first dance ( and beyond – got to catch all those drunk friends cutting some shapes on the dancefloor!).
Will you travel beyond the Cotswolds for our wedding day?
Of course! Although I describe myself as a Cotswolds wedding photographer, I am happy to travel beyond. Drop me a message to find out more!
